i have been really really busy lately. i have been pursueing a lot things i wanted to do for a long time:) and now i am actually doing them!! i can hardly find the time to blog these days...
anyway on day2, we woke up at about 8 or so... had breakfast. it was not elegant or extravagant in anyway, it was really modest. i loved it though. i thought it gave a special touch to the kumpung scenery. wilson, mathew, tin jin and myself had breakfast with the DM himself... he kept on suaning us la.. haha. but it was alright la. he is actually a very nice guy:) *that only applies outside school* after breakfast, we went for our first dive. it will be our real first dive in the sea with our air tanks and sea water:)
we gathered outside the dive centre and settled our equipment. rigged up our air tanks and regulator to the BC (buouyancy conpensator) and went for our first shore dive. we walked to the far left of salang where it was less rocky. but the walk was a killer!! 20kg!! this first dive is actually for doing our drills in the sea. we did see a lot of fishes though. they were quite small and some swam past my mask. when we were doing our drills was when our friend jing han got transfered out of our group. he was not fast enough and had to be transfered to another group. we completed our mask clearing, regulator recovery, buouyancy test and buddy aid. oh i also remember... everyone suffered coral cuts except me:) that was becuase my friends were retarded enough to swim over corals!! haha. lucky i did not go first:)
headed back for lunch. the second dive was actually a disapointment. that becuase we went to a depth of only 4m if i am not mistaken... and we were kneeling on the ground for more than half the time. if you compared the 3rd dive to the 2nd... it would be heaven and earth. seriously!!
after lunch, we rigged up at the dive centre again and we head to the far left again... each time we walked... it seemed farther and farther, haha. but all was worth it. this time we went actual hardcore diving. we saw many many different types of corals. they were all so beautiful. we also saw trigger fishes, which were very dangerous, if provoked. we also saw the clown fish and sea anemone. it was really very nice. we also saw scallops, the shells were like bigger than my palms. haha!! super big. i could not remember everything we saw... but all was great!! we dived onto a platform like thingy. we rested there for 5-10 mins and dove back. it was the first time i did the giant step.
went back for a break. was exhausted already... the last dive was at the jetty:) you may think that there is nothing to see in under the concrete pavement you walk on. but you are wrong... there were so many fishes there!! there were so many corals on the pillars of the jetty. the water under the jetty was reall clear. that was because there was not much sand to kick. haha! and we went almost as deep as 15m. i got cut by corals this time... haha. to all of us got cuts now. he dove back to shore and trugded our way back to the dive centre with the equipment.
had dinner which was very standard... haha. we wanted to play volleyball but we did not dare to ask the people who were playing...lol. we wandered around salang but it was very spooky, especially when they do not have any street lamps. so we went back to our room after awhile. had an early night for the next day would be very long. we had to wake up and report at dive centre at 630. haha. super early dive!!
